Mac Art PackagingSolar and battery backup, installed by one team.
We design every system around your electricity bills and how you actually use power. Then we install it, register it with the City of Cape Town and stay on for support after switch-on. You deal with one team the whole way.

Solar sized to your real consumption, so it pays back faster and you don't buy capacity you won't use.

40kW PV Backup System
Cape Town, Foreshore
A 40 kW commercial rooftop system on the Cape Town Foreshore. It generates 140 to 200 kWh on an average day, roughly 50,000 to 73,000 kWh a year, and an 80 kWh+ high-voltage lithium battery bank keeps the building running after dark and through outages.

Why Cape Town homes and businesses choose MSNT
Solar is a big purchase and a badly sized system is expensive to fix.
Here's what changes when one accountable team handles it.
Without MSNT:
- Higher bills as electricity tariffs keep rising.
- Guesswork on equipment, sizing and payback.
- No single, accountable point of contact.
- Full exposure to Eskom and City tariff increases.
- SSEG paperwork and approvals left to you.
- No transparency on costs or savings projections.
- Less of your power bought from the grid.
- A system sized from your own bills.
- After-sales support long after switch-on.
- Tier-1 panels, inverters and batteries.
- One team from design to SSEG sign-off.
- A fixed, itemised quote with realistic savings.
Our installation work

What our clients say about working with us.
Solar installation questions, answered
Is solar worth it in Cape Town?
For most homes and businesses, yes. Cape Town gets strong sun for most of the year and electricity tariffs go up every year, so a correctly sized system usually pays for itself well within its working life. Your quote shows the expected payback before you commit.
What size solar system do I need?
We work it out from your last 12 months of electricity bills and when during the day you use power. Then we size the panels and inverter to match, adding batteries only if you need them, so you don't pay for capacity you won't use.
Do you handle SSEG registration with the City of Cape Town?
Yes. Grid-tied systems in Cape Town must be registered with the City as Small-Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG). We prepare and submit the application as part of every installation.
Will solar keep my power on during load-shedding?
Only if the system has batteries. A hybrid system with battery storage keeps your essential circuits running during outages. A grid-tied system without batteries shuts down when the grid goes off, for safety.
Which areas do you serve?
We're based in Cape Town and install across the city, including the Northern and Southern Suburbs, as well as Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Paarl and Melkbosstrand. We regularly work out in the Overberg too. We also take on projects elsewhere in South Africa, like our 50 kW school system in Johannesburg.
How long does a solar installation take?
Most home installations take 1 to 3 days on site once the design is approved. Commercial and farm projects take longer, depending on size and site access.
What equipment do you install?
Tier-1 solar panels, hybrid inverters from SMA, Victron and GoodWe, and lithium batteries from brands such as LG, GoodWe and Tesla. We pick equipment for reliability, not the lowest price.
Do you install battery storage and UPS systems?
Yes. We install battery energy storage (BESS) for homes, businesses and farms, and UPS systems for offices, server rooms and data centres.
Do you install generators?
Yes. We supply, install and service standby and prime-power diesel generators, sized to your load and fitted with an automatic transfer switch.
What happens after installation?
You get app monitoring so you can see what your system produces, and we handle maintenance and support long after switch-on. If something looks off, call us and we'll sort it out.
